It’s about what kind of ground
Produces someone who keeps building
Without announcing it.


“I see what you raised”
Doesn’t mean I approve of everything.


It means:
I recognize the grain of the wood.
I recognize the angle of the cut.
I recognize the patience in the joints.


It means:
This didn’t happen by accident.


Some people teach ladders—
How to climb fast,
How to get over others,
How to be impressive from a distance.


Others teach footing.
How to stand without wobbling.
How to wait without rotting.
How to work without needing applause.


That kind of teaching doesn’t sparkle.
It settles.


It shows up later
In how a man answers a simple question
Without drama,
Without disguise.


“He’s good.
If he doesn’t know,
He looks.
Then he comes back.”


That’s not a compliment.
That’s a measurement.


So no—
I don’t need a nameplate.
I don’t need to be introduced.


I’m fine being the quiet tool
Kept close at hand.


Because when someone says,
“I see what you raised,”
What they’re really saying is:


Whatever taught you

If it lasts, it tells

If you need speed to trust it

Some things earn belief
